Quality Courses are sessions captured at past RSNA Annual Meetings focusing on quality improvement in practice, staff and patient safety, customer satisfaction and performance improvement. To earn a Quality Essentials Certificate (QEC), participants must correctly answer a minimum of 80% of the post-test questions and complete the course evaluation.

Each Quality Improvement Course is assigned to one of the following four domains:

QI: Solving the Retention Problem: Addressing Moral Injury in Radiology Practice | Domain: Radiology Performance Improvement (2023)
18% of radiologists have left a position because of moral distress and 28% have considered doing this. This course will explore the impact of moral distress on radiologists’ well-being and explore its connection to burn-out. Common causes of moral distress will be discussed as well as countermeasures mitigating its impact. Participants will be provided with practical action items for implementation in their work environment to decrease moral distress.

To earn CME credit, participants must correctly answer a minimum of 80% of the post-test questions and complete the course evaluation.

QI: MR Safety: Case Based Approach to Scanning Patients with Active Implants | Domain: Staff and Patient Safety (2023)
A unique challenge to MR safety is the logistics of managing patients with active implants due to the diversity of device safety labeling and large number of requested exams. In this session, there are four talks presenting case-based examples of managing patients with active implants. These talks progress from initial screening, to MR scanning protocol modifications, to off-label considerations, to managing safety events.

To earn CME credit, participants must correctly answer a minimum of 80% of the post-test questions and complete the course evaluation.
